This week might have the shortest day of the year but we aren't short on entertainment. Swing in for Friday's community social night, come and enjoy the sounds of Jazz and celebrate the Solstice.

Join us for our weekly community social event, a hot meal, good company and great fun. Our community cook-up includes wood fire pizza from 5:30-7:30 by donation.

Meat tray raffles drawn at 7pm. BYO drinks. Tea and Coffee available all night long. Friends, family and neighbours are all welcome.

We may be in the cold of Winter but now is a great time to revive soil fertility and think ahead to preparing for Spring crops.

Join local ABC gardening guru Phil Dudman who will share his know-how on preparing your garden for Spring and how to rejuvenate your garden. This workshop is an excellent opportunity to deepen knowledge around soil and plant health, seasonal plant selection, and succession planning

Wardell Food Share - helping you access fresh produce

Our community buyers group makes it easier to access regular, reduced cost and wholesale-priced fruit and vegetables. This service is a cost-recovery model and depends on community volunteer support.

Open Mic Sunday Session is back !

Wardell’s second monthly Open Mic is coming up Sunday, 2nd July from 1 to 5pm. PA, Microphones and a small drum kit will be provided. We encourage everyone, and all ages and styles to get up and show their passion and talent in a laid back friendly environment. If you would like to play make sure you get your name on the list :

Don’t go cold - we have blankets

Such gratitude to everyone who has heard our call for blankets and warmth to share this winter! We now have a fabulous supply of blankets, throw rugs and warm sheets of all shapes, colours and sizes. If you need to feel more cozy or are feeling the cold please come in and see us.

We have had deliveries from up and down the East Coast from as far North as Brisbane and all the way to South of Taree.

Wild Clay @ Surrenders Bend Pottery studio - Wardell

A sustainable adventure, where imagination meets the raw beauty of wild clay. In this unique, two hour kids workshop, children will learn to navigate clay harvesting, identifying the clay's quality, and transforming it into functional works of art—a journey that connects them to ancient traditions and fosters an understanding of sustainability. 

All materials are supplied. Your kiddo will have a beautiful, intentional pottery piece to take home and keep. 

Age limit is 7 - 13 years old.  Wednesday 5th July 10am - 12pm

Mural Art-boards

We have 2 art board painting workshops planned for kids this school holidays. Supported by local artists we endeavour to create a series of street artworks to be featured around Wardell.

Session dates and times will be confirmed soon and are dependent on numbers.

Did you know we run a weekly mothers support group at Wardell CORE

It’s an open and supportive group for any new mums (and grandma's and carers too) in our region that want to have a causal catch-up, cup of tea, connection and space to chat with other mums, access wellbeing support and let their kids have a play.

If you are pregnant, a new mum, or a family with young children we meet every week on Thursdays facilitated by Michelle Henry

Wardell Tool Library : Why own when you can loan.

Our tool library is now up and running. Knowing that everyone has lost so many of their personal tools - this initiative will help reduce the burden of cost to access tools for jobs, builds community and reduces the environmental impact of tools that are hardly used sitting on shelves.

We have a growing inventory of tools, equipment and items to borrow

[ YES don't stress - all our electrical items as tested and tagged ]

• Box trailer, ladders, circular saw, high pressure gurney, hedge trimmer, self propelled mower, brush cutter, mitre saw, routers, hand dril, table saw assembly, sanders and more.

We are developing a new online booking system that will go live soon but would love your help in assessing what kinds of tools you will be likely to need in the immediate future. Wardell’s Wellbeing Program offers a dedicated space for professional counselling services and qualified mental health supporters for the community and Wardell district.

Our facilities and programs are an essential asset for our community’s recovery and mental health. We are privileged to have the support of supported by Healthy North Coast to be able to provide this safe and welcoming space and offer a range of support with our amazing team of registered counsellors and mental health workers.

We provide a drop-in centre, appointments on demand and referral services available 5 days a week.

We can also offer outcalls and outreach or consultation by phone. Our mental health services are free, discreet and confidential.

You can come and talk to our professional team at any time for help, advice or support or just drop in for a cuppa and a chat.
