Its happening this Saturday / Sunday ! (Oct 7+8)

We are joining the NSW Gone Fishing Weekend and hosting a fishing comp here in Wardell.

Wet a line and join in.

Heaps of great prize’s and give-aways.

Free BBQ Lunch on Sunday, bring in your entries from 12noon - 1pm.

Here are the general rules of the Wardell Fishing Comp

Registrations can be made at Wardell CORE from 9.00am-2:00pm Saturday

After you have registered get fishing ! and make sure you keep your registration number handy.

All species are eligible - however there will be only one winner for each category.

Categories include - open adult [ 1st and 2nd ], open junior (u 14) [ 1st and 2nd ]

Anglers can fish anytime between their registration the close time 12noon Sunday.

Winners are measured by LENGTH; and are judged by the distance from nose to the tail fork or end of scales.

Fishing Zones : all fish must be caught in the Richmond River

Fish must exceed relevant state minimum size limits.

Photos must be taken at the time and place of capture and feature measured length and registration number provided.

Fish that show any signs of stretching, mutilation or improper handling will be disqualified.

Catch and release is highly encouraged.

Fishing and boating licenses are the responsibility of all anglers.
